NATIONAL ACCESS ACTIVATORS ASSEMBLY

The National Access Activators Assembly (NAAA) was a four (4) day training for a cohort of twenty (20) Access Activators from across Canada to support the facilitation of Relaxed Performance training and consultations. (Access Activators facilitate Relaxed Performance training or consultations, using materials developed by British Council.)

The Access Activator Training engaged in various approaches to conducting Relaxed Performance Trainings, and discussed how they can be used and adapted to suit goals, regional demands, and the needs of communities.

The National Access Activators Assembly established a clear trajectory for work as an Access Activator and built connections within the cohort to find ways to collaborate and learn with and from each other. The Access Activator Training provided attendees with a foundational understanding of the training material and gave opportunities to develop workplans, along with facilitation practice.

The National Access Activators Assembly established a national Access Activator cohort that provides community-based support.

As a producer and facilitator, I worked with the programming team to develop the NAAA community guidelines, planned four (4) days of curriculum, bringing in guest lectures and integrating comprehensive access features.

I facilitated day 2 of programming (Getting the Word Out) and designed The Access Guide.
