SOMETIMES A PRODUCER

Events, Experiences, Recordings, oh my!

Like everything, my production practice shifted in 2020, moving away from in-person gatherings like symposiums, trainings, and talks, to fully digital productions that aim to capture the feelings of connectedness in disconnected times.

Crip Times Podcast

Crip Times Podcast is an interview series featuring interviews with artists, academics, and activists from across Canada and the US exploring what it means to be and produce as crip bodyminds in the midst of a global pandemic. Crip Times Podcast is, at its core, an offering to community; it comes from a desire to maintain and expand the intimate connections found in crip spaces.

Crip Fashion Show

Beauty to be Recognized was an inclusive, accessible fashion event that advocated for an accessible and inclusive fashion industry. Beauty to be Recognized integrated Relaxed Performance into fashion event production and promotion in a one of a kind University curriculum.

National Access Activators Assembly

The National Access Activators Assembly (NAAA) was a four (4) day training for a cohort of twenty (20) Access Activators from across Canada to support the facilitation of Relaxed Performance training and consultations. (Access Activators facilitate Relaxed Performance training or consultations, using materials developed by British Council.)

Cripping the Arts

Cripping the Arts 2019 was a three day symposium featuring panel discussions, co-creative workshops, exhibitions and performances, all animating how Deaf and Disability arts and activism changes how we experience art and culture as well as the ways our sector contributes, and leads to, the achievements of disability rights and justice movements.
